Concert "Shinobu Takita and ballet stars" brought together the leading soloists of different world theaters.

On May 15, 2011 the National Opera of Ukraine hosted a Gala Concert organized by the Agency in cooperation with the Japanese ballerina Shinobu Takita.

Part I was opened with a big gala concert of the legendary ballet fragments performed by 16 recognized stars - from the Tokyo Ballet, Bolshoi and the Mariinsky Theatres, Berlin Opera, Stanislavsky Moscow Musical Theatre and other famous halls. In Part II the audience was presented with a modern ballet "The Lady and the Hooligan" to the music by Shostakovich, directed by V. Litvinov. The leading role was brilliantly performed by Shinobu Takita, Honored Artist of Ukraine.

The concert got the support of the Ukrainian-Japanese cultural center, Japanese corporations - Lexus, Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Sony and Panasonic. General sponsor of the project was JTI company.
After the concert an official reception was held with participation of the ballet soloists, the Embassy of Japan, the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, art and culture representatives of Kiev. To review photo gallery press here.
